Programming

Preschool Program

The Early Years Learning Framework (V2.0) for Australia and the principles of Belonging, Being and Becoming is the structure for our program.  The EYLF (v2.0) Vision – “All children engage in learning that promotes confident and creative individulas and successful lifelong learners.  All Children are active and informed members of their communities with knowledge of Aboriginal and Torrest Strait Islander perspectives” reinforces our program to be inclusive of all learning styles.

Our program is inquiry-based using the thoughts and interests of the children as the central focus.  The community of Castle Hill Pre-School Kindergarten offers a unique collection of beliefs, values, interests, knowledge and experiences for all the children to feel safe, secure and support their self-identity.

Our motto “Learning with Laughter” promotes a fun, joyous environment for the educators and preschoolers to explore, investigate whilst learning.

School Readiness

At Castle Hill Pre-School Kindergarten, the 4 to 5 year old children are developing strategies for the transition to primary school all year.  Independence at activities and routines, positive social behaviours with peers and educators, resilience and confidence are encouraged.

Group activities facilitate language skills, curiosity for learning and developing skills to be a responsible member of the group.

By term 4 we expect that our children are confident and capable individuals who can take responsibility of their belongings and have developed strategies for resilience when faced with new challenges.
